Bibtights specially designed for mountain bikers: FUSION SO Bibtights

FUSION SO Bibtights is the name of the first pair of GORE BIKE WEAR™ tights specifically designed for mountain bikers. We have combined our in-depth experience from the field of road biking with an understanding of mountain bikers' needs to develop a pair of bibtights which are extremely robust, yet very comfortable - just the thing for those chilly days in autumn and winter.

Bibtights are well known for their snug fit and exceptional wearing comfort. Mountain bikers greatly appreciate these qualities of course, but they also have other requirements. The FUSION SO Bibtights are therefore equipped with additional features that make them unique and specific to the needs of off-road cycling.

The cut has been modified for the special, more upright seating position on mountain bikes, and the soft elastic material facilitates every movement cyclists might need to make on a sports terrain.

A partial layer of WINDSTOPPER® Soft Shell has been covered with a ceramic print, thus retaining the natural flexibility of the soft material, whilst making the garment extremely tough. The ceramic print protects the fabric and prevents ripping and tearing after brushes with rocks or tree branches, or even after a fall. The biker enjoys the protection of a pair of baggy tights combined with the comfort of bibtights. At the same time, thanks to the wind-resistant and breathable properties of WINDSTOPPER® Soft Shell, the body does not cool down, but is kept pleasantly warm.

The ALP-X seat cushion, which has been specially designed and  developed for mountain biking, is incorporated to ensure an optimum seating position in the saddle. Its functional material provides perfect moisture management, with rapid back drying and maximum breathability. Recesses are included in the crotch region to take the male anatomy into account. Pressure points on the pelvic bones are relieved with an especially thick foam, whilst the soft upper fabric minimizes chafing when riding.

Additional design benefits include; a pre-shaped knee area, shifted seams to minimise chafing, elastic straps, a stirrup for a perfect fit, a short front zip with locking tab and reflective piping, seat seam with a protective abrasion-resistant strap and a reflective print on the thigh.
